When you register for an Agrix account, we collect:

• Your display name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication — we never store passwords in plaintext)

1.2 Scan Data

When you use Agrix to identify plants or check for crop diseases, we collect:

• Photos you upload for analysis
• The AI-generated analysis results (plant identification or disease diagnosis)
• The date and time of each scan
• Your scan history (stored server-side and linked to your account)

1.3 Usage Data

We may collect general usage information such as:

• Which features you use within the app
• Device type and operating system
• App version

1.4 Profile Information

• Profile avatar photo (if you choose to upload one)
• FCM (Firebase Cloud Messaging) token for push notifications

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide the service — process plant identification and disease detection scans using AI
• Store your history — save your scan results so you can review them later
• Manage your account — authenticate you and maintain your profile
• Improve the app — understand how the app is used and fix issues
• Send notifications — deliver relevant alerts about your crops (with your permission)

3. How We Store Your Data

• Account credentials are managed by Firebase Authentication (Google Firebase), a secure cloud authentication service
• Scan history, favorites, and profile data are stored on our backend servers hosted via Render (render.com)
• Images uploaded for scanning are transmitted securely over HTTPS and processed by our AI identification service (powered by the Pl@ntNet API)
• We do not permanently store your uploaded images on our servers after analysis is complete

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We share data only with:

• Firebase (Google) — for authentication and push notification services
• Pl@ntNet API — images you submit for plant or disease identification are sent to Pl@ntNet for processing. Pl@ntNet's own privacy policy applies to their processing of this data
• Render — our backend infrastructure provider

5. Data Retention

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual scan records from your history at any time within the app. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, please contact us at the email listed in Section 9.

6. Children's Privacy

Agrix is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

7. Security

We implement appropriate technical measures to protect your information, including:

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Firebase Authentication for secure credential management
• Server-side access controls on all API endpoints

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data via the Edit Profile screen in the app
• Delete your scan history via the History screen in the app
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us
